Story
In just a short time – less than a few weeks – a group of like-minded adventurers and I will embark on a four-day challenge in the Balkan mountains. Over these days, we will conquer three peaks, each reaching between 2.6 and 2.7 km above sea level. This will be a serious test both physically and emotionally – especially considering that the highest mountain in the UK is only 1.34 km tall!
Why am I doing this?
I am taking part in this challenge to raise funds for CALM, an organization dedicated to ensuring that no one feels so lonely or hopeless that they see only one way out – to end their life. CALM provides vital support, offering a free helpline and professional assistance to people facing mental health struggles, financial difficulties, or other hardships.
This journey will challenge me both physically and mentally. I'll admit – I’m a little nervous! A lot of preparation is needed to complete this trek, but I truly believe the cause is worth it.
How can you help?
To participate in this challenge, I need to raise £1,000 in donations. Any support you can offer – big or small – will be invaluable! As the saying goes, "every little helps", and together, we can make a huge difference.
Thank you in advance to everyone who contributes – your support means more than you can imagine!
