I'm joining #TeamSHC and #TeamSheffcoll to run the Sheffield 10K in 2026 to support my local hospitals!

As a Sheffield resident, I’m proud to support a charity that makes a real difference to healthcare in our city. It’s also personal to me. My family has experienced the importance of specialist NHS care, with my husband living with an inherited sight-loss condition and my daughter having mild cerebral palsy.

Sheffield Hospitals Charity provides funding above and beyond standard NHS budgets, supporting patients and NHS staff as well as funding life-changing research, innovative technology, specialist equipment and improvements to care and hospital environments.

Their support reaches services across Sheffield – from the Jessop Wing and Weston Park to the Royal Hallamshire, Charles Clifford and Northern General, as well as community, mental health and specialist services.

So on 27 September, I’ll be doing my bit – running, jogging or perhaps occasionally shuffling my way around 10K! 😄

Every donation, however small, will help support Sheffield’s NHS and the people who rely on it.
