Story

Thank you for visiting our sponsorship page - we love that you've taken a moment out of your busy day to support us!

We're a team of clinicians and administrators from Royal Primary Care in Chesterfield, who together with Mark (a non RPC bod who has kindly stepped in at the last minute) are aiming to walk, bike and row our way around the Lake District on September 7th 2024, all in aid of this amazing charity.

You've probably gathered that we like a cake or two, but as we're in training mode, we'll just have to dream!

So while we're munching our way through our training (we wish), here's some information about the charity we're doing it for.

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. For 65 years they've helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people. Their research has helped to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths. But they urgently need to develop more new treatments and cures for sick babies and children and they simply can’t do it without you.

Join their fight for little lives.

Thank you from Ruth, Michelle, Mark & Kathy x
