The earthquake, which struck Afghanistan, has left families homeless, injured, and mourning the loss of loved ones. Many survivors are left without access to basic necessities such as food, clean water, and shelter. The situation is dire...

Story

The Afghanistan earthquake of magnitude 6.3 shook on 7th of October, affecting hundreds of thousands of the total population and killing over 2000 people. Buildings collapsed and homes were destroyed, and it may take the country years to rebuild the damaged homes.

By donating, you can help Afghanistan recover from its deadly crisis and give aid to the people affected.

For £10, you can immediately support disaster relief, in areas of food, water, medical & shelter. Donating to my fundraising campaign, we can provide:

Medical Care: Transport the wounded to the hospital🚑/ Provide psychological support and reduce pain.

Food and Water : Prevent starvation by providing clean food & water.

Emergency Shelter : Blankets & temporary tents for the people affected to stay.

Rebuild Homes: Over 50,000 homes were damaged and the funds can help construct safe buildings.

The fundraisers, Justin and Marvin, are 11-year-old boys studying at an international school in Hong Kong. They have a love for baking and cooking. Justin’s baking specialties are chocolate chip cookies, blueberry muffins, peanut butter cupcakes, vanilla sponge cakes, churros and steak etc.

From the ages of 5 to 11, Justin was regularly invited by The Women's Welfare Club (Eastern District) in Hong Kong to handmake and personally deliver mooncakes for the elderly every Mid-Autumn Festival. Last Chinese New Year, Justin baked 150 chocolate chip cookies for a disabled caregiving center in Hangzhou, China. The disabled patients and people suffering from muscle amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) were extremely delighted to enjoy Justin's love cookies.

Influenced by his chef grandfather, Marvin has long since developed his passion for baking and cooking. He loves making fried rice, meatballs and rice puddings. With a caring heart, Marvin often helps the needed by joining various charity activities, such as fundraising for the local communities in 2020, and donating clothes to Turkey after the earthquake earlier this year.

Justin and Marvin would like to continue their passion for baking and to help others affected in Afghanistan’s earthquake, especially homeless children.
