Great North Run 2023 · 10 September 2023 ·

The Great North Run is the worlds largest half marathon, seeing almost 60,000 people embark on the famous 13-mile route from Newcastle to South Shields every year in what is a truly iconic event.

Story

On Saturday 2nd September I will be running 22 miles in the legendary Man versus Mountain in Wales. This will see me run to the summit of Snowdon and back down to the finish at Dinorwic Quarry.

On Sunday 10th September I will then do 13.1 miles in the Great North Run.

I'll be doing these runs to raise money for the Teesside Charity which was established in 2011 to provide social and economic opportunities that would not otherwise have existed in the Teesside area.

The charity promotes social wellbeing and provides support to those who find themselves at a disadvantage in the society they live in. These include but are not exclusively the homeless, those recovering from an addiction, the long-term unemployed, those living in poverty or living with a disability and employment schemes.
