Story
Myself and my wife, Lucy are going to be jumping out of a plane to raise money for Younger People with Dementia!
Why I'm fundraising for Younger People with Dementia:
This is a cause very close to my heart. Dementia is considered young onset when it affects people under 65 years of age. It is also referred to as early onset or working age dementia, affecting people from as young as in their 20's, 30's and 40's. Younger People with Dementia support those living with a diagnosis, and their families, reducing social isolation and bringing people together when they need each other most.
My wife, Lucy and Mum to our children Poppy and Tom has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at the age of 54. We are still trying to come to terms with this news, not just Lucy but the family as a whole. The support from family, friends and work has been amazing. We were also intoduced to this charity, Young People with Dementia due to Lucys age. They have been great so far and will be valuable support for us all moving forward. As this is so personal to us all an opportunity arose for Lucy and myself to do a tandem skydive to raise money for this amazing chaity , I dont like heights but as Lucy was so excited the answer had to be yes! Wish us luck.
I would be extremely grateful for any donations you can spare.
