Angels 2026 – ORC "Spire to Shire" Charity run
On Saturday 20th June 2026, members of Overseal Running Club will take on our biggest challenge yet — a 40+ mile run back to Overseal, DerbySHIRE from Coventry Cathedral as part of our annual headline charity event, Angels.
Angels is not about racing. It’s not about finishing first.
It’s about community. It’s about courage. And it’s about standing alongside those who need us most.
This year, we are incredibly proud to support Parkinson’s UK as one of four charity partners.
We are running in honour of a long-standing and much-loved member of our club who continues to face Parkinson’s with courage, dignity, and quiet strength. Their resilience reminds us daily why this challenge matters.
Our runners will cover more than 30 miles in a single day — testing physical endurance, yes — but more importantly, testing the heart and soul of our club.
At Overseal Running Club, our ethos is simple:
“We don’t run to win. We run to test the limit of our heart and soul.”
Parkinson’s affects over 145,000 people in the UK, and one of those is a member of our running club.. Every donation made through this page will help fund vital research, provide life-changing support services, and ensure no one faces Parkinson’s alone.
Alongside Parkinson’s UK, Angels 2026 will also support Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia UK, recognising the wider impact these conditions have across families and communities.
Our collective fundraising target for this year’s event is £10,000.
If you are able to donate — no matter how big or small — you will be helping us turn miles into meaningful impact.
Please support us, share our page, and follow our journey as we run with purpose, compassion, and faith in one another.
Together, we can make every step count.
