Angels 2026 – Running With Heart for Dementia UK
On Saturday 20th June 2026, members of Overseal Running Club will take on our annual Angels challenge — a 30+ mile run back to our home village of Overseal.
Angels is not about racing.
It is not about medals.
It is about community.
Each year we run with purpose, choosing causes that have deeply touched the lives of our members and their families. In 2026, we are proud to be supporting Dementia UK as one of our chosen charities.
Dementia affects so many families — including those within our own club community. Behind every diagnosis is a family navigating uncertainty, change, and emotional strain. Dementia UK’s specialist Admiral Nurses provide life-changing support, guidance, and reassurance to families when they need it most.
Our runners will cover over 40 miles in a single day, testing not only physical endurance but the very spirit of what our club stands for:
“We don’t run to win. We run to test the limit of our heart and soul.”
From beginners to experienced runners, we will run together — because that’s what we believe in. Ordinary people doing something difficult, together, for others.
Our collective fundraising target across all Angels charities this year is £10,000, and every donation — large or small — will help Dementia UK continue its vital work supporting families facing dementia.
If you are able to support us, thank you.
If you can share our page, thank you.
If you can cheer us on, thank you.
Together, we run with purpose. Together, we make a difference.
