Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of my friends already know I lost my father to Pancreatic Cancer. This devastating disease has little in the way of warning signs and can be missed and even overlooked. Unfortunately by the time a diagnosis has been given it is all too late and the life expectancy can be between 6 to 9 months which is heart breaking for everyone involved.

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of the common cancers -only around 7% of those diagnosed survive beyond 5 years -the average survival time from diagnosis is 6 – 9 months -despite these statistics, research into pancreatic cancer has been underfunded for decades. This is why I want to do my little bit and try and raise as much money as I can to help with the fight towards research to fight this terrible disease and hopefully give others hope. On the 2nd of September 2023 I will be cycling from Calais to Paris in memory of my Father and to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Please if you can donate towards this great cause I would really appreciate your support and let’s try and make a difference together.
