Journey to Rome Marathon - In memory of Tim and Fundraising for SarcoidosisUK

Rome Marathon · 17 March 2024
Hi everyone, thanks for visiting my page!
If you told me a few years ago that I would be willingly doing running events in 2023, I would have laughed at you, let alone a marathon! 2023 has bought about many challenges but the hardest challenge has been dealing with the loss of the amazing Tim Harrison.
For those who knew my Uncle Tim, I needn't tell you what kind of a man he was. For those of you that didn't, he was one of the most funny, kind and intelligent people that I have ever met. God, he was a goofy man, always looking to make people laugh and smile and that is why everyone loved him. Sadly he was taken too early from us unfortunately battling Sarcoidosis for 10 years.
Hence this fundraiser! A lot of my closer friends will know that I've gone a bit running mad recently, racking up KMs in the gym every week and starting to do some races. I've set myself a goal of running the Rome Marathon next March and being able to support SarcoidosisUK who do great work is more than a pleasure. So be sure to follow my journey to Rome, I'll be doing weekly updates with progress here and on my Instagrams @justin.mendon and @membrane.gym as well as some bigger updates for some upcoming races.
If you could, please consider donating and sharing my page around (promise to keep it interesting), I would mean the world to me and my family and helps those suffering from this rare disease get the help they deserve. Thank you!

Sarcoidosis is a rare disease and has poor information, support and little research for finding a cure. We work to change that. Our 4 goals are; providing information, providing support, raising awareness and funding research.
None of our work is possible without donations. We receive no government money and are 100% reliant on your generosity. Any donation, big or small, makes a huge difference to our ability to help others. Thank you!
