Story
Every child deserves a chance to thrive, not just survive.
I ran my previous two marathons in New York fundraising for children in need in Peru. Selecting small dedicated charities which make true difference on the ground is important for me because the help reaches only the ones truly in need and children should have right to safe environment, education and to put it simply... childhood.
This year I am lucky to be able to run the London Marathon 2025 for Chance for Childhood Team which work to ensure that children in Africa (DRC, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda) can thrive from their early years through to adulthood. I am humbled to be able to fundraise for them and make a small bit of difference.
''At Chance for Childhood, we believe that childhood should be filled with laughter, learning, and love—not spent on the streets, in conflict zones, or trapped in isolation. With the unwavering support of our partners and generous donors, we are dedicated to protecting vulnerable children from the harsh realities of extreme poverty, conflict, and disability in DRC; Ghana; Kenya; Rwanda; and Uganda, Sri Lanka.''
