Story
Running the London Marathon isn’t just a physical challenge for me — it’s deeply personal.
I live with cystic fibrosis, a lifelong condition that affects my lungs and daily life in ways many people don’t see. Some days are harder than others, and there have been moments when I’ve questioned whether my body would let me keep going — but giving up has never truly felt like an option.
In 2024, I earned a place in the London Marathon, but sadly I wasn’t able to make it to the start line in April 2025 due to my health. That disappointment was devastating, and for a while it felt like another dream taken away by my condition. But it didn’t end my journey. Instead, it strengthened my determination to come back stronger — not just for myself, but for everyone in the CF community.
Training this year looks different for me. Progress isn’t always linear, and there are days when simply showing up feels like a victory. Living with CF means carrying an invisible battle every single day, yet every mile I run represents resilience, hope, and gratitude for the support that has carried me through my hardest moments.
I’m running for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust because their work truly changes lives — from funding vital research to supporting people and families living with CF every single day. The support they provide means better treatments, stronger care, and hope for a future where CF no longer limits lives.
If you choose to support my journey, please know that every donation — no matter how small — helps turn setbacks into strength. If you’re unable to donate, sharing my page or offering words of encouragement means just as much.
Thank you for believing in me, for supporting this cause, and for standing with the CF community. This marathon is for all of us who keep going, even when the road is hard.
Much of love, Justyna 💛xx
