Story
I’m taking on the Alzheimer’s Society Trek26 London, a 13-mile walk on 9th May 2026, in memory of two people I loved deeply and miss every single day.
My Grandad, Jimmy Moore, passed away on Easter Sunday, 5th April 2026, after losing his battle with Alzheimer’s disease. The grief is still so raw, but I know the best way I can honour him is to walk every one of those 13 miles with him in my heart.
I also walk in memory of my Nanny, Mary Coleman, who we lost to this cruel disease back in March 2015. Dementia has taken two of the most precious people from our families, and I refuse to stand still.
Alzheimer’s Society is there for the families who are living through what we lived through, the confusion, the heartbreak, and the helplessness of watching someone you love slowly disappear. They provide vital support, fund life-changing research, and make sure no one faces dementia alone.
Every pound you donate brings us closer to a world where no other family has to say goodbye this way.
Please give what you can for Jimmy, for Mary, and for every family touched by dementia🕊️💙
I understand times are hard for a lot of people right now, but if you cannot donate, please share. 💙
