It’s just about 6 years since mum came to live with us and we became her carers, and nearly a year since she died, completely changing our lives again.

I thought ‘caring’ would be straightforward (!) but I hadn’t expected how being a carer would come to define me, my actions, my interactions with my job, children, business, husband and extended family. I am super grateful to PKAVS for the support they gave me, particularly through Covid. I hope any money raised will allow someone else in similar shoes to feel a bit less isolated and adrift.
