We are taking on a heartfelt challenge to raise money for Benny: we are walking between three North East football stadiums, brought together by friendship, family and hope.

Our journey will begin at The Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough FC, the home of Karen's team. It will continue to The Stadium of Light, Sunderland AFC, the home of Carl and Liam's team and finish at St James' Park, Newcastle United FC, the team Benny loves and dreams of playing for one day. The journey is approximately 50 miles and will take 2 days. We will be accompanied by our dog Sadie and also take in Hartlepool United FC and Gateshead FC along the way. Every step we take- paws included- is for Benny. Every donation, no matter the size, will help give him the chance to grow up, keep dreaming and one day chase a football in a black and white strip...

Benny is a happy and caring four-year-old who loves dinosaurs, Ninja Turtles, pizza, and dreams of playing for Newcastle United when grows up. In February 2023, at just two years old, he was diagnosed with stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma. After completing treatment in March 2025, he began DFMO, a relapse-prevention drug. Sadly, scans in September showed that Benny’s cancer had returned. His family is now fundraising in the hope that they can travel to Rome for CAR T-cell therapy.
