Story
Why I’m Skydiving for Alzheimer’s Society 🪂
For the past three years, I’ve worked as a carer, supporting people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. During this time, I’ve seen first-hand the devastating impact this disease has — not only on those diagnosed, but on their families and loved ones too.
Alzheimer’s doesn’t just affect memory. It slowly takes away independence, changes personalities, and leaves families heartbroken as they watch someone they love fade. It is an illness no one should have to face alone — yet so many do.
That’s why I’m raising money for Alzheimer’s Society, who provide vital support, advice, and reassurance to people living with dementia, while also funding essential research into better treatments and, one day, a cure.
To support this incredible cause, I’m taking on a huge personal challenge — a charity skydive. Jumping out of a plane is completely outside my comfort zone, but it feels like a small challenge compared to what those affected by Alzheimer’s face every day.
