Kai, Sam and Amy’s fundraiser for The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust Charity

Kai Farmer is raising money for The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust Charity

Wace Morgan Shrewsbury 5k · 5 July 2026

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Charity makes a positive difference to the patients of The Royal Shrewsbury and Princess Royal Hospitals. We pay for equipment, patient comforts, staff education and research, which goes above and beyond the funded services provided as standard by the NHS.

Story

Six months ago, the idea of the three of us running a 5k would have been laughable.

We’re Kai, Sam and Amy – one family, three NHS colleagues, and three very reluctant runners who somehow found ourselves signing up for the Wace Morgan Shrewsbury 5k on Sunday 5 July.

There have been sore legs, plenty of laughter, a few choice words aimed at each other, and the occasional obscenity directed at Steve Cram through our headphones (sorry Steve!).

Now we’re taking on our first 5k together – and for Amy, her first organised 5k event.

We’re raising money for SaTH Charity because we’re incredibly proud to work for The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust and see first-hand the difference the charity makes to patients, families and colleagues every day.

If you’d like to support us, and help SaTH Charity continue its amazing work, we’d be hugely grateful for any donation, big or small.

Thank you for your support.
