Kaira's English Channel Swim to Support Aspire

Kaira Kilpatrick is raising money for Aspire

Team: Aspire Channel Bats

Fundraising · 18 July 2025

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Hello Friends, Family and Supporters!

My daughter and I have been given an amazing opportunity to fund raise for Aspire. We have been given a spot on a boat to swim the English Channel! With your help, we hope to make a small difference in the lives of people who have been challenged with Spinal Injury.

Both my mother, Katie Cotter and an open water swim friend, Carolyn Jaenisch required spinal surgery as part of their battle with lung cancer, so this charity is near to my heart.

We would love for you to join us on this epic journey for a great cause by supporting Aspire through your donations.
