Story
I am running the London Marathon 2025 in memory of my nan, Caroline. She was a strong woman with the kindest heart, never complained about the pain she was in, and always put others before herself. She has been missed immensely since her passing, and she didn’t even get the chance to meet a lot of her grandchildren that she would’ve loved.
My aunty has also inherited the disease. Like her mum, she has always put family before anything else.
Raising money to help fund vital research for other families who are going through this is so important to me, and also running in honour of two of the most amazing women that I have had in my life 🤍
The PKD Charity is a UK-based organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).
PKD is a genetic disorder that affects approximately 70,000 people in the UK and there is currently no cure for this
Thanks to its incredible community of supporters, like our fabulous Marathon runners, PKD Charity is able to fund ground breaking research and advocate for people affected by PKD.
