Story
We are hosting an English-Asian themed afternoon tea this coming Thursday at HRI.
By holding an Afternoon Tea this summer for my dear friend Angie, you’ll be helping to raise the money we need to drive forward our life-saving research and give vital support.
“I’ve wanted to do this for a long time, and I feel the time is right as a former HCA Angie and now qualified Mental Health Nurse, is having treatment for the disease. She’s absolutely amazing – so full of life and funny. She also thinks it’s a fabulous idea.
“I’m also doing this in memory of my beautiful mum who died from breast cancer at the very young age of 36. She left behind six daughters. The cancer was found when she was expecting my youngest sister. My mum was seven months pregnant at that time and only survived for four months after her birth.
“There will be sweet and savoury goodies and I’m so grateful to everyone for their support, including Springwood Sikh Temple in Huddersfield, who are providing pakoras for the event.”
Thank you
