Story
I’m proud to be taking part in the London Marathon 2026 in support of Street Child, a charity doing vital work to transform the lives of children in some of the world’s toughest places.
As a father of two, I’m constantly reminded of how fortunate we are in the United Kingdom to be able to keep our children safe, in school and learning. Sadly, not every child has the same safety, access to education, or opportunity to learn. Street Child is a leading global charity whose purpose is to ensure children are safe, in school and learning, especially in low-resource environments and during emergencies.
Street Child works across education, child protection and humanitarian response, partnering with an expanding network of 95+ local organisations to create lasting impact in 20 countries across sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. This local-led approach helps ensure support reaches children and families who need it most, even in the most challenging environments.
Any amount donated can go a long way — helping to provide life-saving education, emergency shelter, food, protection, and skills training for children, families and communities affected by poverty, conflict, refugee crises and natural disasters.
Training for and running a marathon is a huge personal challenge, but it’s nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by the children this charity supports. I’m really looking forward to a successful year of fundraising and raising awareness for such a worthy cause, and I’m incredibly grateful for any support you’re able to give.
