Story
My mum was diagnosed with endometrial cancer on the 28th March 2026. Just 11 days later, on the 8th April, we lost her.
Losing my mum has taught me that life can be so short, so we should spend a little less time worrying and more time having fun - and that’s why this fundraiser is a little different. While the main purpose is to raise money and awareness for endometrial cancer in support of PEACHES Womb Cancer Trust, I really want it to be a night full of fun, laughter and memories - a reminder to enjoy life to the absolute full.
Around 1 in 5 UK women have never heard of womb cancer, despite it being the most common gynaecological cancer. That is exactly why awareness matters. Before Mum became ill, endometrial cancer wasn’t something I knew enough about either, now it is a word that has completely changed my life, but it’s also a word I can use to help change other people’s lives too.
We lost Mum, but we haven’t lost her fight.
So we’ll keep making noise. We’ll keep raising awareness. We’ll keep fighting for change. And in true karaoke fashion, we’ll do it loudly.
All in honour of my beautiful mum. 🤍
More details on the event coming soon.
