Story
This summer, I’ll be travelling to Zambia for eight weeks as a Woman’s Football Development Officer with Volunteer Zambia sport, part of the Wallace group. Through coaching and mentorship, I’ll be supporting young Zambians by utilising football as a tool for confidence, opportunity and sustainable development.
A friend asked me why I applied for the role saying, “What difference can you really make in eight weeks?” well my answer is simple — I may not be able to change the whole world, but if I can make a small, positive difference in even one of those individuals' lives in Zambia, it would be incredibly meaningful to me. For me, this opportunity is about contributing to something greater than myself and inspiring others through the power of sport.
To me sport has always been more than just a game. It’s shaped my confidence, resilience, and sense of belonging. Zambia represents the next chapter in that journey – a chance to give back, to share what I’ve learned and to keep growing both as a coach and as an individual. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and if I can help even one young person in Zambia feel those same things, then I’ll know I’ve made a difference.

By supporting this journey, you’re helping turn that belief into action. Any donation, will help create opportunity, empower young people and make a lasting difference. Thank you for being a part of this Journey.
