Story
This fund has been set up in memory of Matty Hatton, forever 17, who passed away on 5th Feb 2022 following a 5-year battle with Medulloblastoma, a cancerous brain tumour.
Matty was like a nephew to us, he was a huge part of our family life and him and our daughter Vicky were always up to mischief! We miss him more than words can say and supporting his forever loved fund (which supports the Bodie Hodges Foundation) brings us comfort and keeps his memory alive. We have signed up for this 10k race which as anyone who knows us is aware, is definitely out of our comfort zone!! Matty himself is likely laughing at us but we are determined to do this challenge! if you can spare a few pounds, please sponsor us to give us the push to get out there and train!!
Matty had a love for life and had a zest to live it to the max. He was cheeky, fun loving and always smiling. His kind-hearted, caring nature meant that he was loved by all that met him.
We know that for Alison and Steve. learning to live without Matty has been more difficult than words could express and at times it has been a lonely dark place for them
To know him was to love him 💙
The Bodie Hodges charity has been invaluable with helping Steve and Alison to learn to cope with the tragic loss, through both 1-1 counselling and attending the groups specifically designed for bereaved mums and dads at no cost to themselves.
We would like to be able to support the charity financially so that they can continue their amazing work.
