In 2021, Mum was diagnosed with Dementia. Until that time, we knew it only as a word. Since then we have seen what a cruel disease it is. At first Mum developed strategies so that cognitive decline was slow and unnoticed- but they could only hold for so long. We hope that further research will discover prevention, medical intervention and enhanced support for those living with Dementia.
