Thames Path Ultra Challenge 2025 · 13 September 2025 to 14 September 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

I love walking and I love a good challenge! So I have taken the plunge and signed up to the Thames Path 100km in 24hrs Ultra Challenge!

I will be joining the Hale family team, Billie’s Striders. Walking in memory of the lovely Gina (Billie) Hale who sadly passed away in October last year following a sudden diagnosis of terminal cancer.

The Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading gave amazing support to Gina and her family at this time, and is a charity close to my heart as they also took great care of my lovely friend Babs, and her family, during her final few weeks with terminal cancer in December 2023.

What are the aims of the charity?

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with Sue Ryder's support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. They are there when it matters.

I’d be forever grateful if you could sponsor me by donating to this amazing charity so they can continue to help those in need of their services.

Thank you x
