In September 2021 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma a type of blood cancer. Like most people I had never heard of it and quite quickly my life and my family’s life was turned upside down as the treatment began. Rounds of chemotherapy, radiation therapy and then a stem cell transplant using my own cells. Thankfully this has put me in a complete remission and I am feeling well again. Unfortunately there is no cure for Myeloma yet and I know one day I will relapse.

I am beyond grateful to the NHS for the care they have given me. Myeloma UK where there to help fill in the blanks. They support patients and their families as well as fund research work into early detection and treatments.

Myself, colleagues from work and clients are coming together to raise as much as possible for Myeloma UK, we will walk 10 miles over the Lincolnshire wolds.
