Walking in memory of Vicki Gordon

On 18 April 2016, my family’s world changed forever when we lost our beautiful daughter.

There are no words that can truly describe the devastation and heartbreak of losing someone you love so deeply. As the years have passed, we have carried her memory with us every single day — remembering the person she was, the love she gave, and all the moments we wish we could have had together.

I take on this walk each year in her memory, to keep her name and memory alive and to turn some of our heartbreak into hope for others.

I am raising funds for SAMH, because I hope that by supporting their work, more people who are struggling can receive the help, understanding and support they need. No family should have to experience the devastation of losing someone they love, and no one should feel that they have to face their struggles alone.

Every step I take will be for my daughter. Every donation, no matter how small, will help support a cause that means so much to me and my family.

I walk for her. I walk for her memory. And I walk in the hope that someone else might get the help they need.
