On Saturday 4th May we are taking place in our 1st ever Ultra Marathon – Dukeries 30 which takes place in Sherwood Forest, it’s a 30 mile route that is mainly forest trails and footpaths, this will make it a lot more challenging to complete than a road marathon.

We both like to challenge ourselves and as we have previously taken part in the London Marathon. When we did the London Marathon, we supported the HUB, as it does such fantastic things for our school and the community.

We feel very proud to be able to run in support of Oasis Hub South Grimsby. The Hub works closely with the community and Oasis Academy Wintringham, and I have seen first-hand all the incredible support the Hub offers many of our families to offer varied support from food hampers and other imperative services they provide to our local community and the families we work with. I can’t think of a more meaningful charity as I have witnessed daily the help it directly gives and seen how invaluable that is.

Knowing that we are raising funds for such a worthwhile cause will certainly help spur us round as the longest training run we have completed was 21 miles and we both found it physically tough!
