Scotland's leading asbestos charity, providing a voice and vital support to those living with and affected by mesothelioma, lung cancer and all other asbestos & work-related disease and injury.

Story

Update: Walk completed and absolutely ecstatic at the amounts donated. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all your donations and your messages of support. Thanks also to those who met us along the way and at the finish line. You know who you are ❤️

As many of you will already know I lost my husband Raymond to mesothelioma (asbestos related cancer). He was diagnosed in December 2020 and passed away in July 2022, age 58.

In his memory and on what would have been his 60th birthday, myself and my brother in law Albert Jacobs (and Buddy of course) will be walking The Wee Wander (5 miles) Kilt Walk.

Asbestos remains in many public buildings and we would be extremely grateful for your support in order that Action on Asbestos can carry on with their amazing work (see below).

Many thanks.

Action on Asbestos is Scotland's leading asbestos charity providing a voice and vital practical and emotional support to those affected by mesothelioma, lung cancer and all other asbestos-related conditions. The charity, until recently known as Clydeside Action on Asbestos, has been helping people with an asbestos-related disease for over 35 years. We provide advice and support to anyone who develops a work-related illness or injury.

Thank you for your kind support.
