I have known several people, both friends and family, who have died from cancer or who are living with cancer now. Research into improving cancer treatments and eventually finding cures for all types of cancer, is expensive and so raising money to help that research to continue is invaluable. Every penny you can spare to support this amazing cause will be gratefully received.

To raise this money I will be attempting to walk the entire South West Coast Path. Starting in Minehead in Somerset, continuing along the North Devon Coast, around the entire Cornish Coast, back along the South Devon Coast and along the Dorset Coast finishing in South Haven Point near Poole. An intimidating 1,000 kilometres or 630 miles with roughly 115,000 feet or 35,050 metres of elevation - that's approximately 4 times the height of Everest!! I'll be carrying all of my gear; tent, sleeping bag, stove, food, etc and mostly camping along the way. Hopefully my little toy poodle Maude (an actual dog, not a stuffed toy 😉), will be keeping me company for some of the way and is already in training with her own little rucksack!
