I am 11 years old, I love hiking and have always wanted to walk a long distance footpath. In January we (Mum, Dad and I) did a day hike on the South Downs Way and from that day on, I bugged Mum until she agreed to walk all 99 miles of it with me! We will set off on Sunday 23rd July from Eastbourne and plan to finish on Saturday 29th July in Winchester. During the six days we will average 16.5 miles a day.

I decided that I would like to raise money while walking for a charity and chose Gambian Project Overseas. Gambian Project Overseas (GPO) is a local charity that focuses on increasing children's access to education through building new schools, installing computer suites for local communities and distributing teaching resources. I believe that all children should have access to a good education just as I have.

GPO is also currently fundraising for a community garden project which is supporting local communities to work together to maintain and utilise a common space to grow food for the whole community and be self-sufficient. These gardens require water and water storage to function and GPO have funded a water pump but still require funds to purchase a water tank.

I would love your help to raise money for this water tank and more educational supplies for the people of Gambia.
