RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

I am taking part in a 24 hour indoor rowing challenge for the RNLI.

The challenge is to collectively row 1 million meters over a 24hr period 6 - 7 March 2024 at the London office of T. Rowe Price. This challenge is to raise money for the RNLI.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Powered primarily by kind donations, the search and rescue service has been saving lives for nearly 200 years.

At first, the charity was supported by a handful of benefactors, but it has only survived thanks to the unwavering support from the public. However you may choose to support them, you’re a lifesaver, proudly standing beside the RNLI. You’re alongside the crew at 238 lifeboat stations, the lifeguards watching over 242 beaches and the thousands of hardworking fundraisers.

To mark their 200th birthday, listen to the 200 Voices podcast series and hear real stories of kindness, courage and pride from supporters, volunteers, and those they've rescued.

Thank you for your kind donation in supporting the RNLI.
