Story
I have decided to throw myself in to another challenge and am taking on one of my biggest yet for a charity that is so close to my heart - Child Bereavement UK.
So far, I have been up Kilimanjaro, trekked to Everest Base Camp and jumped out of a plane for charity, so how can I top that? Well, in August I am going to don a jumpsuit and goggles and take on a Wing Walk for Child Bereavement UK.
I'll be strapped to a Boeing Sherman Bi-Plane as it flies the skies above Leeds - this is definitely not for the faint-hearted and so I would love your support. Busy Bees has been supporting Child Bereavement UK for five years now and in that time has raised over £230,000.
Busy Bees was founded in 1983 and so we are celebrating our 40th anniversary this year. As part of our celebrations, the business has pledged to raise £40,000 for them and this will be a big part of that.
Child Bereavement UK helps children, young people and families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. They also provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, the emergency services and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families and have supported Busy Bees staff in this way on several occasions.
I would be so grateful for any donations and I know it would mean a great deal to everyone at Child Bereavement UK too.
