I'm going to take on the Ampthill Vs Cancer 5k on Sunday 29 June.

I have had cancer twice now. In December 2020 I had major surgery to remove advanced bowel cancer, followed in 2021 with 10 rounds of chemotherapy. I got the all clear from bowel cancer in September 2021. Then in December 2024 I was diagnosed with womb cancer. In February 2025 I had more major surgery and in April I was declared cancer free once again.

The support of family, friends and faith got me through both times, along with support from charities like the Above & Beyond Cancer Foundation. A small local Bedfordshire charity, the Above & Beyond Cancer Foundation relies on the generosity of its supporters to continue to provide its personal and very crucial services.
