Story

💚 Beating cancer was just the start – now I’m running 26.2 miles for Macmillan.

My Story

In February 2025, I went to my GP with abdominal pain—something I thought was minor. After a series of tests, doctors discovered a tumour in my bowel.

On 26th March, I was told cancer couldn’t be ruled out. Just four days later, I had surgery to remove it. Thankfully, the operation was successful, however, the biopsy confirmed stage 2 bowel cancer — fortunately it hadn’t spread, so no further treatment was needed.

Throughout it all, I was supported by the amazing Macmillan nurses at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Their compassion, reassurance, and care got me through one of the most uncertain times of my life. I’ll remain under their care for the next five years as part of my ongoing monitoring, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Now, I’m taking on the London Marathon 2026 to give something back—to say thank you and to help Macmillan continue their incredible work supporting others affected by cancer.

Why It Matters

Macmillan Cancer Support helps people live life as fully as possible, providing emotional, practical, and financial support to anyone facing cancer. I’ve seen first-hand how much their care means, and I want to help ensure no one faces cancer alone.

My Goal

I’m aiming to raise £2,750, and every donation—big or small—will go directly to Macmillan.

Donating through JustGiving is quick, secure, and simple.

Please give what you can and help me show that together, we’re stronger than cancer.

Every mile I run is for Macmillan, and for everyone whose life they’ve touched. 💚
