Karen's fundraiser for Bournemouth Heart Club

Sunday 14th May 2017 and it’s the Moors Valley 10k, it was a lovely sunny morning and of course very hot.
As usual I was moaning at the start as to why I wasn’t feeling like running that day but that was normal.
I finished the run and drove home with my friend. I remember complaining that my sports bra was too tight and how I should really try and lose some weight!
I got home and had a shower, I wanted to have something to eat but just didn’t feel right in myself. I sat myself down and thought something isn’t right. I could feel a pinching sensation on the left hand side of my chest (remember the sports bra) I stood up and glanced in the mirror, my face looked grey and I began to feel clammy.
Thinking it’s probably ’NOTHING’ I dialed 111 (I know right!!) they were very helpful and within a couple of minutes I could hear the sirens of an ambulance.
IT WAS FOR ME
So after a very bumpy and noisy trip to the hospital in the back of an ambulance I was taken straight into surgery and had a stent fitted.
After a couple of months recovery I went along to The Bournemouth Heart Club for my rehabilitation and I have been going there ever since ❤️
I have set a target to raise £310 that is £10 a day in May
It would be great to raise this before the end of the month
