Story
Sam was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (a type of bone cancer) in February 2021. He has undergone an extremely harsh course of chemotherapy as well as having a total knee replacement. Currently, he's receiving immunotherapy as we strive for a cure. This wouldn't have been available to him without the work of the Bone Cancer Research Trust. Sam, along with his mum Jen (a nurse) continues to be a tower of strength to other young people diagnosed with bone cancer, and to work with BCRT to raise funds and awareness.
Katie (my daughter) and I ran the 10km. She and so many others from our community turned out to encourage us along the way. Much appreciated and needed by me! Thank you for all those who supported us, Sam and the invaluable work of BCRT.
