Walk up Pen Y Fan · 19 June 2024

We offer people who need specific support the chance to have the same life opportunities as everyone else. We provide support and care that is tailored to the needs of the individual, enabling people who are isolated, for whatever reason, to live their life in the way that they want to live it.

Story

On the 19th June I am going to be climbing Pen Y Fan to raise funds for the Ategi Well Being fund. You can find out about the fund here: https://www.ategi.org.uk/get-involved/the-ategi-wellbeing-fund

I am excited to be joined on the climb by Kyle. Kyle is a former user of Ategi's Shared Lives service where he lived with an Ategi Shared Lives carer during a challenging period of his life and he is joining me on this fundraising challenge to give back to the service that helped him turn his life around.

The Wellbeing Fund provides small grants for the people Ategi support, to pay for things that will help improve their wellbeing. A project that I particularly want to support is the setting up of an activities group that will be held at our office in Wales. The group will need to buy craft supplies and other items so that they can come together to make friends and enjoy new experiences.
