Story
Welcome Welcome!
Why I'm running for the British Heart Foundation:
This year, I’m running the London Marathon for two very special reasons: my auntie and my grandfather, who both passed away from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), a hereditary heart condition. They were both incredible individuals who left a lasting mark on everyone in their lives, and I’m running to honour their memory. Supporting the British Heart Foundation means helping to fund research and care for families impacted by heart conditions like theirs, and it's an honour to take on this challenge as a tribute to them!
HCM is often seen as a reason to hold back, a condition that can overshadow aspects of life. But its important to show that it doesn't have to be a limitation. Running this marathon is my way of showing that hereditary diseases don’t define us or our potential. It’s about pushing boundaries and showing others living with HCM, or any other condition, that you can still push your body, and achieve things you may have thought were out of reach.
It’s not just about crossing the finish line, it’s about raising awareness, honouring my family, and helping others affected by heart conditions. By supporting the British Heart Foundation, we’re funding research that saves lives and offering hope to countless families. If you’d like to be part of this journey and make a real difference, please consider donating to my JustGiving page.
