At the end of August, I will be running the half-marathon event at Northstowe Running Festival to raise funds for Care Network Cambridgeshire. This will be my third year at the excellent Northstowe festival of running, and I am in my sixth year of working at Care Network!

Any fund raised will help us in our mission to provide free information, advice, practical support, and emotional support to adults across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

I run because it challenges me, and has helped me to find things out about myself, my local area, and to see I am more resilient than I think I am. Care Network's services help our clients to also build resilience and confidence, so they can remain independent and in touch with their community. This is especially important currently where many people are struggling with loneliness and isolation.
