Story
On Sunday 3rd May, Paul Hipkiss and I will be taking on the Birmingham Half Marathon to raise money for the incredible charity Make-A-Wish UK.
Over the past few months we’ve been putting in the miles, early mornings, long runs and plenty of sore legs while training for the challenge. A half marathon is no small task (21.1km if we’re being precise!), but knowing we’re running for such an amazing cause makes every mile worth it.
Make-A-Wish UK grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, giving them moments of joy, hope and unforgettable memories during incredibly difficult times. These wishes don’t just impact the child they bring light and strength to entire families.
Running 13.1 miles will definitely test us, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges these children and their families face every day. If our training, sweat and slightly questionable running playlists can help raise money to make even one child’s wish come true, then every step will be worth it.
We would be hugely grateful for any support or donation, big or small. Every contribution helps Make-A-Wish continue the incredible work they do.
Thank you so much for supporting us and this amazing charity.
Let’s make some wishes come true 💫
Karinna & Paul
Make-A-Wish® UK grant life-changing wishes for thousands of critically ill children across the UK. Sadly, the number of wish enquiries from seriously ill children with less than a year to live is rising fast. They need help to meet this urgent demand now - before it’s too late. For families with critically ill children, every day counts. Your support has the power to make a wish come true for a critically ill child, allowing families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.
