This October I will be running the Yorkshire Marathon and I am hoping to raise some funds for CASE.

CASE is based in Hull and provides education, training and therapeutic services for adults with learning disabilities and associated conditions.

My niece, Jamey-Leigh, has attended CASE for many years and I know how much she has benefitted from this.

CASE have said that any money raised will go towards the development of a new Creative Arts room and an Independent Living Suite, where attendees can learn vital life/self care skills.

I‘ve never ran a marathon before and must admit that the thought of running 26.2 miles is pretty daunting, especially after struggling on some much shorter runs recently whilst training. Hopefully running for this great cause will give me the extra motivation needed to complete it!
