Karl Rendell is raising money for Samaritans

Team: Cala Cotswolds

Cala are proudly supporting Samaritans to ensure that they can be there for anyone struggling to cope right now

Story

I am committed to making a difference this year and so, I have so far signed up to two events for Samaritans. A charity that does so much in preventing loss of loved ones to mental health issues, something I hold close to my heart as of my personal experience and how it has effected our family.

First I will take on the highest mountain in England and Wales by sunrise on Friday 5th July! Hiking up Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon, 1,085m) with only torches and the moon to light the way.

Then I will be taking on the Cardiff Half marathon on the 6th October 2024.

Wish me luck!

Every 10 seconds, Samaritans answers a call for help and in 2022, there wasn't a single second where Samaritans weren't on the phone to someone.

People contact Samaritans for a variety of reasons, including family issues, worries about money, health and mental health, and thoughts of suicide. Whatever you're going through, a Samaritan will face it with you.

Samaritans is needed now more than ever. Your donations will help Samaritans answer life-changing, potentially life-saving calls for help.
