Story
Hey,
This one had been on my mind for a long time now. Crib Goch, The Red Ridge, The Knife Edge, is one of the routes leading to the summit of Yr Wyddfa. But this one is diferent, grade 1 scramble, exposure, deadly drop. I love Crib Goch, it equally fascinates and terrifies me, thinking of it leaves a knot in my stomach but once up there, there is no place for fear.
My plan is simple- for 24 hours I will be reaching the top of Yr Wyddfa by walking through Crib Goch. For 24 hours I will be facing my fears by scrambling up there and watching my every step on the knife edge Ridge trying to stop my legs from shaking.
The more I think about it, the more I can see why it has never been done before, why noone kept going through Crib Goch for 24 hours (I may be wrong but haven't found any info about it). I may be just about mad enough to do that. As long as I don't look what's below me, I will be fine!
...

Yvon Chouinard
PS. If the weather is bad I will have to change the date. 8-10 people die on Crib Goch every year, I don't plan to be a part of that statistic.
