Since 1965 the Christmas morning swim has been raising thousands of pounds for local charities and organisations. Kidney Wales has been selected this year as the headline beneficiary charity, in memory of Dr David Parry.

Story

I will be taking part in Porthcawl Christmas Morning Swim for the first time this year to take part in my Husband's Christmas Family tradition and to support Kidney Wales Charity.

Kidney Wales vision is to unite the Welsh kidney community to enable pioneering world class care, support and well-being services:

- they provide information, advice and assistance to patients and families via patient information and support manager;

- provide emergency financial aid ;

- deliver education and awareness raising activity;

- work with partners to invest in targeted care for patients physical and mental wellbeing;

- Fund research that benefit Welsh kidney patients.

Kidney Wales does not receive any government funding, they rely on your donations to continue their life changing work. Thank you for supporting the cause. Every penny raised will make a huge difference supporting patients and families living with kidney disease in Wales.
