Story
This January, I'm taking part in the 10k Winter Walk for Endo to ensure that everyone with endometriosis gets on the right pathway to care.
My story:
I was diagnosed with endometriosis a few years ago after over a decade of pain, fatigue and other symptoms. Like a lot of people, I was ignored and fobbed off by doctors for years before I received my diagnosis. Since then, I have had surgery and continue to struggle with symptoms daily. Endometriosis is often misunderstood but it is a whole body condition that impacts you in many ways - physically and mentally. There needs to be more awareness and knowledge around this condition as so many people are struggling unnecessarily - please donate anything you can to support this cause!
Some more about the condition:
Endometriosis is a chronic pain condition that affects 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth. Those suffering with condition are often faced with making challenging and difficult decisions during diagnosis, treatment and management of endometriosis. Endometriosis UK exists to offer support and reliable information as well as fight and campaign for change and better treatment options.
