This August, I’ll be taking on the 40k Challenge in honour of Rainbow Baby Day (22nd August) to raise funds for The Worst Girl Gang Ever Foundation.

We’re raising money to create and expand specialist support for those who are pregnant or parenting after loss.

For those who know me, you’ll know that The Worst Girl Gang Ever has been my biggest lifeline. They’ve walked beside me through the darkest days — after baby loss, during pregnancy after loss, and now parenting after loss. These incredible women just get it. 💛

Pregnancy and parenting after loss are incredibly tender and emotionally complex experiences - often filled with anxiety, guilt, hope, and heartache. But with the right support, community, and compassion, these journeys don’t have to be faced alone.

Together, we’ve created friendships rooted in shared pain, healing, and unwavering support. I’m so lucky to have found my “girl tribe” — we met on Christmas 2023 following baby loss, supported each other through pregnancy after loss, and now are supporting each other with parenting after loss with our beautiful rainbow babies. The bond we’ve built is unbreakable. We’re there for each other in every moment of fear, joy, and everything in between.

But not everyone has that.

That’s why I’m taking part in The Worst Girl Gang Ever Foundation’s 40k Challenge this August — in honour of Rainbow Baby Day on 22nd August.

Why 40k? Because 40 weeks = a full-term pregnancy. A journey filled with hope, heartbreak, and healing.

Every kilometre is in honour of the babies we’ve lost, the babies we carry in our hearts, and the rainbow babies we hold in our arms.
