On Saturday, September 13th, I will tackle the epic 24-mile (38.6km) route, with 1585m (5200ft) of ascent, aiming to complete it in 12 hours! This is to raise money so that Ormiston horizon academy can replace our football pitch.

Ormiston Horizon Academy want to replace our tired, sand-based all weather pitch with a brand new 3G surface. As well as benefitting the academy, the pitch will support grass roots football - particularly the girls and women's game.

Most of the funding will be provided by the Football Foundation, but it is a competitive process with lots of communities bidding. The more we raise, the more we show that we want this facility and that we are the right community to invest in.
