Adopt NI has been supporting adults linked to the adoption triangle since 1989. Our main priority is to support any adult impacted by the lifelong journey of adoption. We have since extended to include adults separated from their family of origin through foster or residential care.

Story

"Adoption is a lifelong journey".

Adopt NI was created in 1989 following a change in legislation, to provide support for adults facing the challenges of adoption. The organisation has since extended its services, to birth parents and adults separated from their family of origin through being in care.

Adopt NI is the leading charity for any adult with a lived experience of adoption in Northern Ireland, including adopted adults, adoptive families, and birth relatives.

Our purpose is to provide an independent regional post-adoption service, empowering adults on their lifelong journey by providing support and greater access to information. This is through a range of services; Advice &Advocacy, Counselling, Intermediary support and Tracing services.

This fundraiser is to help us expand our services, so that we can provide free support to every individual who needs it; especially counselling.

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness!
